What Is a Happy Journal?
A happy journal is a gratitude and art journal in one book. It's a way of chronicling the good in your life through images or what I call, "drawing your day."
You absolutely do NOT have to be an "artist" in order to draw your day. You can benefit from happy journaling even if your drawings are stick figures!
You will find as you continue to draw and doodle in your happy journal about the things that bring you joy that your own style will emerge.
Maybe you will create a bright, vivacious happy journal that pops with color! You will exclusively use markers to detail your happy moments.
Maybe you have a thing for ticket stubs and bits of memorabilia. You glue or washi tape them into your happy journal and write words around them to remember those moments.
Or maybe you're like me and enjoy drawing tiny icons to represent funny and happy memories. I typically draw with a black gel pen and sometimes go back with a colored pencil to add pops of color here and there.
My book, Happy Journal, Happy Life details how I got started with happy journaling. It also includes ideas on how to start your own. I especially love that the end of the book includes blank pages for you to get started immediately. :)
